ESTHER Röling - HK pollution map
In May 2017 Esther Röling together with Paul Niel climbed around the entire coastline of Hong Kong Island. During their 6 day adventure they encountered huge amounts of pollution and photo logged 163 trash sites which were subsequently shared on www.pollutionmaphk.com and also in their film documentary “The Loop” http://theloopmovie.com
The pollution map sparked the idea to run a bigger event around the findings to engage the general public to take action.
Esther Röling is an avid outdoors lover, trail runner and climber.
For the last year Esther and Paul have shared their adventure through talks and the documentary "The Loop" in order to raise awareness about plastic pollution.

Co-founder of technology firm En-trak, entrepreneur Tyler Holland is also an avid explorer of Hong Kong's most beautiful and hard-to-reach places. From the far west of Lantau to the eastern cliffs of Sai Kung to the closer shores of Hong Kong Island, Tyler has kayaked, coasteered, and swum most of Hong Kong's long and beautiful coastline. Tyler believes that the Hong Kong coastline is a globally unique gem - both beautiful and accessible - and deserves our best efforts to keep it clean. His long and intimate experience with these areas enables him to contribute extra safety and logistics support to the Adventure Clean Up Challenge.
